With a background in administration and the innate ability to provide exceptional customer service, Silvia first started as a receptionist at Mulberry PARC before becoming Resident Services Manager. 

Silvia chose to work in this industry because she’s genuinely passionate about working with seniors. She found her calling in the seniors industry after feeling closely connected to seniors and their families through her own experience with aging parents. As a strong communicator who excels at building relationships, Silvia enjoys getting to know each resident and learning how she can help make their retirement experience a fabulous one. She has seen first-hand the powerful and positive impact that a new and enriched lifestyle has on people’s lives, and she’s thrilled to be part of it everyday. 

In her spare time, Silvia enjoys spending time with her boys, hiking, bird-watching, cooking and reading.

The pandemic has been a tough time for seniors and their loved ones across Canada. But through it all, Mulberry PARC (along with all PARC communities) has stayed ahead of the curve, keeping our residents safe and healthy, and our communities COVID-19-free.

This is partly thanks to our well-trained team, who quickly and proactively implemented provincial government health-and-safety protocols. But independent retirement communities like PARC are also uniquely positioned to keep residents safe during a pandemic, with multiple layers of defense already in place, from onsite wellness nurses to established sanitization and emergency protocols. As well, we offer chef-prepared meals, weekly suite housekeeping, and private transportation – lifelines when busy grocery stores and public spaces pose risks to seniors.

To protect our residents from COVID-19, we've implemented extra sanitization, physical distancing, mandatory face masks for employees, free resources for residents to shop, and socialize online and family meet-up centres with plexiglass barriers and virus-prevention filtration systems.

Mulberry PARC is as committed as ever to creating safe, independent, respectful, and healthy communities for our residents.

Accreditation & Associations

Located on Kingsway in Burnaby, Mulberry PARC is across the street from HighGate Village Mall, full of shops, services and anything else you need. Within a few blocks, you’ll find the Edmonds Seniors Centre, the Eastburn Community Centre, a library, parks, medical facilities, churches and banks. From Mulberry PARCs front door, you can take a bus to Metrotown, or catch the SkyTrain nearby. The location provides the ultimate in convenience, yet resides in the quietude of a leafy neighbourhood street adjacent to the Highland Park Trail walkway.
