I have been in the process of getting my cousin into Barrieview before it was built. He is moving on November 23rd [2020]. Patricia Miller has been wonderful and very helpful. Looking forward to the big move.

After a month in residence here, I have found the staff to be efficient, helpful and friendly, the amenities effective, tasteful and more than adequate. The food is of excellent quality and well presented. In all, an experience which made me apprehensive at first has been positive and pleasant for me, my wife and our wee cat.

We (my husband and I ) moved in October 26 [2019] to a one-bedroom and den suite. Of course we had to downsize from our house, but all our most essential belongings fit nicely in the space. We find the very, very nice staff to be the most wonderful aspect of our time here. We're also impressed with the interesting food, the breadth of the amenities and activities, and the elegance of the decor. If one can no longer maintain a house, but can still mostly manage independently with the reassurance that help is at hand if needed, The Barrieview is the place to be.

My mother loves it here! She calls me a few time a week to let me know what she's been up to and all the new friends she's making. It's the happiest we have seen her in years. Thank you to all the staff for making my mother feel comfortable in her new home.

My mother has been a resident at The Elden for 3 months now and she is very happy. We were referred to this place by our neighbour. It was a big decision for her to give up her home. My sisters and I know she's in the best place she can be. The staff are very helpful and kind to her.

One thing really impressed me [when I toured] is that there's so much light in here. There's a lot of windows here. In the dining room [there are] two walls that are completely all windows. That really hit home. I felt very comfortable right from the beginning. The staff here are absolutely fantastic. Everybody's [addressed] by their first name. It makes you quite comfortable. My total feeling is that I feel safe and cared for here. [August 2021]

My mother is a resident [here]. Since the beginning of the pandemic, the staff at the Elden has done everything possible to continue to allow me to see her, and more importantly to keep her safe. They have tirelessly worked to maintain a pleasurable environment while complying with difficult guidelines. In addition, they were able to help special family caregivers to receive the same vaccines as the healthcare workers which allowed us to stay in much needed contact with our loved ones. I always recommend the Elden to people looking for a retirement home because we've had such an amazing experience there.

I just want to thank the entire staff at The Elden for doing such a wonderful job and especially during this difficult time [COVID-19] and for keeping everyone safe, happy and healthy. Staff always goes above and beyond to ensure the resident's health and happiness!!!
