This assisted living retirement center is one of the best in the City of Calgary that you will find for your loved ones. The management has a great philosophy and take great pride in protecting its residents especially when there is a flu season! The staff, doctors and nurses, LPNs, caregivers, even the housekeeping staff are warm hearted and very caring. My mom and dad lived here for quite a number of years and I cannot say enough about this center... If you are thinking of living [at] Whitehorn Village Retirement you are definitely not making a mistake!

With the COVID pandemic raging out of control, my family had to make the difficult decision to put a family member in the memory care unit of Whitehorn Village Retirement Village. Over the months we have been able to see how careful the staff is with keeping COVID out of their building. The staff are also very caring and compassionate right from the moment you walk through the door. They maintain a family atmosphere here as much as possible and value family input. We can't say enough about the wonderful personal service workers. They are so patient and proactive about helping their residents and giving them dignity to live their final years. I can't say enough about them except "thank you."

Our Mom is happy and safe at Whitehorn Village. In September 2018 my sister and I had to find a suitable retirement home for Mom. We visited five retirement facilities in the City of Calgary and truly … Whitethorn Village stood out from all the rest as being well established and moreover, a happy place. It felt good there. We were able to settle Mom into her new home with light hearts. Now, in retrospect, the decision shines through as a Godsend. Here’s what has been clearly evident during this Covid crisis - the management at Whitehorn Village care deeply for their staff and as a result the staff care deeply for the residents. There were zero patient infections throughout Covid due to superior oversight and a vigilant staff. Witnessing that Mom was in kind and caring hands helped ease our minds during this time. We are so grateful to the team at Whitehorn Village for all they have done for the quality of life for all of the residents in their care. Our gratitude is what prompts us to highly recommend Whitehorn Village to any families who are looking for the very best care there is.

I have found it is a very comfortable environment. Great meals , including an ala carte menu. The staff are fantastic and caring, always ready to assist residents.
