Customized care that meets the needs of community members is a hallmark of life at Courtyard Gardens. One of the unique features of this community is the private pay suites, where you have the option to purchase personalized services customized to your needs. There are a variety of suite sizes that allow for this option, ranging in size from one to two bedrooms. In addition, suites available in the assisted living residence are subsidized under the auspices of the Vancouver Coastal Health Authority (VCH).

The thing that stands out most about our experience with Courtyard Gardens is how hard working and caring the staff are ... What really meant a lot was when my mom passed away in December [2020], the staff went out of their way to make sure my dad was OK. I'm very impressed with the amount of activities they have arranged... Just looking at the calendar that they send out every week, there're three or four different types of activities every day, from chair exercise to bingo to [music]... There's monthly birthday celebrations as a group for people who are having a birthday that month. It's a really welcoming place. When you walk in, anybody, any staff member you meet is always smiling and friendly, and so willing to help. We've been so grateful for some of the individual staff members who we interact with.

Courtyard Gardens has everything I'm looking for, including the availability of more care, should my wife and I decide it's time to change our current lifestyle.

We have the peace of mind of knowing that mom is safe and well cared for here. Staff showed wonderful patience as she settled in. She really began to thrive again at Courtyard Gardens.

I love that I can transition simply into a higher level of care whenever I need to.

Wisteria Place is an innovative independent seniors’ living community in the spectacular waterfront village of Steveston, in Richmond, BC. This beautiful new residence backs on to a park with easy access to walking paths and a 5 minute walk to the village centre where there are coffee shops, pharmacies, a river walkway, community centres, and much more for your convenience. There are 107 suites including studios, one bedrooms and two bedrooms varying from 412 square feet to 1020 square feet. We are taking names for our interest list now and offering resources on our website and Facebook as well as ZOOM coffee chats, for those who want to learn about specific topics and come together to chat with other seniors.
