There are many great things to say about St. Elizabeth Village, but one unique aspect of this community is residents' ability to leverage the market value of the home they purchase, through the community's life lease program. Given that real estate values rise steadily in Hamilton (especially on the mountain) this gives you the best of both worlds: the security and freedom of 55 plus living, along with the equity you'll build up from your investment in your home here.
The Wellington offers a unique combination of affordability and luxury amenities in an older area of the city. This established community offers a built-in familiarity that Hamilton seniors will warm up to quickly. We love its holistic approach to senior living, from its pet-friendly policy to the staff, who bring a tell-tale enthusiasm to their work. The unique combination of independent living with long term care makes it ideal for couples with varying needs to stay together in one community.
My mother is staying here and she loves it!
I have lived here the last 2 1/2 years. Beautiful place to live and friendly residents. Their are many activities to enjoy once our COVID lockdowns are lifted. A wonderful place to live.
Love the staff members here. They go beyond their jobs to help their residents, can't ever thank you enough for helping Jeannie.
We couldn't believe our luck! This is country living in the city, with all the conveniences, security and peace of mind.
What I like most about living [here] is the security and freedom to live your own life.
The staff, all the staff, are so personable. Beds are made and room cleaned daily.
I could not ask for a more caring and dedicated group of people. The Wellington has proven to be a wonderful place. During the Pandemic..they protected residents like they were their own loved ones...keeping their Spirits up with music, dance and "Wacky Hair Days” posted regularly on Facebook. During the time when we were unable to visit ... the staff made regular Skype calls for the Residents. The Wellington turned out to be the best place for my Mother.
My Mother received excellent care while a resident at The Wellington. The Wellington has caring and highly qualified nursing and personal support staff as well as a fabulous Residents Support Services Unit that works very hard to provide residents with interesting, fun and entertaining activities on a daily basis. All staff have done an amazing job keeping the residents safe and entertained during the present COVID -19 outbreak.
My Mother lived at the Wellington for [six] years ... Staff were very compassionate and kind towards my mother and went out of their way to make her comfortable. Every time I visited different staff would say they went to see my mother and some even sang a song for her. The doctor, nurses and support workers always listened to my concerns and showed they really cared. Their works of mercy will never be forgotten.
