Our perspective

This is a kosher-friendly community designed with the needs of older people in mind. Many suites have been recently renovated (as of 2020-21) showing the community’s incessantly progressive approach to meeting residents’ needs. The update complements this building’s situation in an established neighbourhood populated by many trusted businesses. Community members here are gregarious, enjoying each others’ company, and it’s part of the vibrant inter-connected communities of Baycrest.

The lively community of people here like to get involved. You see this throughout the building, where people interact with each other in the lounge areas and in the onsite library. In summer, the Rooftop Terrace, featuring views of the Toronto skyline, is favoured by many seniors. Even the community newsletter features a lively roundup of contributions from around the community.

This is a friendly community, ideal for people who have not moved in many years. Two Neptune benefits from being part of the campus of Baycrest, a leader in understanding accessibility requirements and the lifestyle needs of older people. With that in mind, they’ve established a warm community, with lots of conviviality in an enduring community, friendly to newcomers.

We appreciate the welcoming friends who are now part of our “mishpoche.” My children and “old” friends often come to visit, and all are impressed with the welcoming atmosphere they see here. I agree with them: ergo my decision to spend my “aging years” as a resident here, as long as I am able. I am content.

Two Neptune has a synagogue across the street and all kinds of stores for shopping. There’s a pharmacy, a dentist and a doctor’s office all along Bathurst Street and in Baycrest, if needed. The building itself has a Sabbath elevator and a Succah as a bonus. What more could we ask for?

I am very pleased to have made the decision to buy into this building. A lot is being offered here, for people who like to be active, such as lessons, entertainment, etc. I am also very pleased with the concierge who are always helpful in a pleasant way.
