Still very new, this community offers a lively community marked by very giving, generous community members. The location itself is world class, a few blocks from the shoreline, with clear views of Semiahmoo Bay. We love the bold colour palette of the interior, with lots of deep blues most noticeably, matching the name and vibrant feel of the community.

Staff here is very efficient, service-oriented, and accommodating. They help keep things lively in the community, through many activities and outings. You’ll feel safe and rejuvenated daily, thanks to the lifestyle created by the setting, the amenities, and the welcoming community of both staff and residents.

Programs & Activities

Michael has over 20 years of experience in hospitality management. He transitioned to the seniors living industry in 2012 because he wanted to make a positive difference in the lives of seniors. Michaels says that helping them live life to the fullest has been a tremendously enriching experience for him.

Fun fact: while working as a chef at the Fairmont Waterfront Hotel in 2002, Michael was chosen to cook for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II!

Michael enjoys playing and coaching children’s hockey, cooking, and fishing and hunting in the outdoors.

The pandemic has been a tough time for seniors and their loved ones across Canada. But through it all, Oceana PARC (along with all PARC communities) has stayed ahead of the curve, keeping our residents safe and healthy, and our communities COVID-19-free.

This is partly thanks to our well-trained team, who quickly and proactively implemented provincial government health-and-safety protocols. But independent retirement communities like PARC are also uniquely positioned to keep residents safe during a pandemic, with multiple layers of defense already in place, from onsite wellness nurses to established sanitization and emergency protocols. As well, we offer chef-prepared meals, weekly suite housekeeping, and private transportation – lifelines when busy grocery stores and public spaces pose risks to seniors.

To protect our residents from COVID-19, we've implemented extra sanitization, physical distancing, mandatory face masks for employees, free resources for residents to shop, and socialize online and family meet-up centres with plexiglass barriers and virus-prevention filtration systems. Oceana PARC is as committed as ever to creating safe, independent, respectful, and healthy communities for our residents.
