Occupy Seattle's 84-year-old activist

Dorli Rainey speaks out famously now after gaining notoriety as the 84-year-old who was pepper-sprayed by police at Occupy Seattle. In fact, she's become a surprising new face for the movement.

Dorli has been doing the media interview circuit this week including speaking to political commentator and writer Keith Olbermann, host of "Countdown" on Current TV.

Her police ordeal hasn't hurt her sense of humour. She told Olbermann that being pepper-sprayed as "energized" her. "It's amazing what a little pepper spray will do for you," says Dorli.

Her involvement in civic engagement dates back to the US. Civil Rights Movement and the Women's Rights Movement, proving once again that age has nothing to do with being actively engaged in life. "I'm an issues person, always have been," says Dorli.

How does she do it? "I take a step out of my comfort zone,' she says."It would be so easy to say, 'Well I'm going to retire, I'm going to sit around, watch television or eat bonbons'. But somebody's got to keep them awake and let them know what is really going on in the world."
