OSGA 55+ Regional Games: Enjoyed by 1200+ Ontario seniors!

Over the past few weeks throughout Ontario, the Ontario Senior Games Association and over 1200 participants have been fortunate to have had wonderful weather, friendly competitions and enjoyable social gatherings at all three OSGA 55+ District Regional Games.



Here's a quick re-cap:

Hamilton, August 17th:
Over 140 participants competed in the Golden Horseshoe Regional District Games. Events included golf, 5-pin bowling, cribbage and euchre.


Districts participating included:
#21- Halton
#22- Wentworth
#23- Hamilton
#24-Niagara Region
#25- Brant/ Haldimad/Norfolk.

Smith Falls, August 23rd:
The Eastern Ontario District Regional Games had 319 participants competing. Events included: lawn bowling, contract bridge, darts, golf and floor shuffleboard.


Districts participating included:
6- Ottawa East
7A- North Lanark
8- Stormont, Dundas &Glengarry/Prescott & Russell
9- Lanark/Leeds/Grenville
10A- Kingston/Frontenac
11- Haliburton County



Chatham- Kent, September 1st:
The final regional games took place in the Southwestern Ontario Districts. They were the largest of the three, with over 800 participants from throughout Southwestern Ontario. There were over 20 events including contract bridge, tennis, golf, pickleball, softball, and carpet bowling.

#29 Huron/Perth/Middlesex
#30- London
#31- Oxford-Elgin
#32 Windsor- Essex
#33 Lambton County
#33A-Chatham Kent

District Winter Games, November
Focus now shifts to the District Winter Games which will be starting in districts at the first of November.

2012 Provincial Games, Brampton
The countdown to the next Ontario 55+ Games is also underway as it is less than one year to the 2012 Provincial Games in Brampton, Ontario.
