    News

My name is Jessica Diebolt and I am the General Manager of Arbourside Court.

I have been involved with Seniors Housing for over 20 years and worked for many different buildings throughout British Columbia.

From the first moment I walked into Arbourside Court, I knew this was a special place and I would be here to stay.

We have a number of staff members who have proudly worked at Arbourside Court since the doors first opened in 2002 and that sense of pride in their jobs permeates throughout our spotless building.

Our Staff treat each and every resident like they are a part of their family and that type of kindness does not go unnoticed.  My tours often comment on how unbelievably friendly everyone is and I tell them I felt the same way when I first walked through the doors and I still feel that way 4 years later.

Our residents are very welcoming to new residents and try to make the transition as easy as possible…whether it is an invite to join their Reno Keno table or an offer to take a walk as a group, they are constantly looking out for each other and it is a beautiful thing to witness.

Arbourside Court is conveniently located with a vast array of retail within a short walking distance and we are only two blocks away from the Seniors Centre, Public Library and the Newton Bus Exchange.

Please feel free to call us to set up your Private Tour and see for yourself all that  Arbourside Court has to offer.

Arbourside cares! My nana has been living there since her late 90's and going strong! The staff and seniors are all warm and caring! The location and services are fantastic! Truly like being on a cruise ship! Great way to retire!

The best choice was made for their new home to be Arbourside Court.expand

I would like to write a heartfelt thank you to everyone at Arbourside Court. It was a difficult transition for my mother and father to leave their home of thirty-four years and move back to Canada from the Seattle area. Mum had always wanted to come ‘home’ and yet it wasn’t easy to move a large home full of memories. The staff at Arbourside welcomed my parents (and me) with kindness and compassion. They really care and it shows. It has been almost two years now and we are all feeling that the best choice was made for their new home to be Arbourside Court. The location is great. There are many shops and conveniences within walking distance. They also have all the amenities that Arbourside provides at their disposal. I am very pleased that the food that is offered three times per day is of high quality and offers variety as well as great nutritional value. I think it is wonderful to have a social gathering at breakfast, lunch and dinner and know that mum and dad have made some great new friends over some appetizing meals. Overall, I find that the staff all work well together and work hard to provide a wholesome, safe and happy home for the residents. Thank you all!” ~ Pam B ...

    Thank you noteexpand

    To Mr. Jones:

Arbourside Court was home to my Mom for almost 10 years, and during those years Mom was very happy and loved her apartment and living there.  I will always treasure the fond memories of my visits with her and many of the other residents, and the joy living at Arbourside brought her.   I will be forever grateful for the kindness and care Mom received from the wonderful Staff (cooks/kitchen/housekeeping/admin) who made her daily life a little brighter with their smiles and attention to detail. Without her time at Arbourside, Mom would not have had the quality of life and the extended years she so enjoyed and I, cherished time with her. Thank you.

    Kind Regards, Barbara ...

Arbourside Court's atmosphere contains far more than oxygen!expand

Arbourside Court is a senior’s only residence where the atmosphere contains far more than oxygen. We infuse all ninety two of our immaculate suites and our inviting common areas with equal parts glamour and glee. Invite yourself to experience what the seniors’ lifestyle can be when you come home to sincere smiles and friendly faces. Mirth, glee, hilarity, merriment, jollity, joviality refer to the gaiety characterizing people who are enjoying the companionship of others. Mirth suggests spontaneous amusement or gaiety, manifested briefly in laughter: uncontrolled outbursts of mirth. Glee suggests an effervescence of high spirits or exultation, often manifested in playful or ecstatic gestures; it may apply also to a malicious rejoicing over mishaps to others: glee over the failure of a rival. Hilarity implies noisy and boisterous mirth, often exceeding the limits of reason or propriety: hilarity aroused by practical jokes. Merriment suggests fun, good spirits, and good nature rather than the kind of wit and sometimes artificial funmaking that cause hilarity: The house resounded with music and sounds of merriment. Jollity and joviality may refer either to a general atmosphere of mirthful festivity or to the corresponding traits of individuals. Jollity implies an atmosphere of easy and convivial gaiety, a more hearty merriment or a less boisterous hilarity: The holiday was a time of jollity. Joviality implies a more mellow merriment generated by people who are hearty, generous, benevolent, and high-spirited: the joviality of warm-hearted friends. ...

This is a Greater Vancouver gem, conveniently located just off King George Boulevard in Surrey. The food offered here is very high quality, combining equal parts of gourmet excellence and nutritional value. There are social gatherings for every meal of the day, and you may end up making new friends every time you eat. Nearby, you'll find lots of shopping and restaurants including drugstores and a number of coffee shops. But it's what's inside that counts.

Onsite pampering here includes a spa and beauty salon, and regular foot care. Entertainment includes a main floor movie theatre, card games and shuffleboard. There are also shopping trips and other outings. Care ranges from weekly housekeeping, to diabetic and low sodium diet meals, to bathing assistance (for an extra fee).
