Shepherd Village’s 27th Annual Charity Golf Tournament brings residents, staff and supporters together to raise money for Scarborough’s not-for-profit retirement community.
Shepherd Village held its 27th Annual Charity Golf Tournament on September 13th with more than 150 supporters, staff and residents gathered at Silver Lakes Golf & Country Club for a day of fun. This year’s festivities included a putting contest, closest-to-the-hole challenge, silent auction, 50/50 draw, raffle, and a bunch of ‘on par’ swings and putts. Funds raised this year have been allocated to a new nurse call system, electric beds, resident ceiling lifts, the Adult Day Centre, and ongoing costs related to the pandemic. The residents and staff at Shepherd Village in Scarborough are humbled by the generosity of the community and partners over the past 27 years, raising an incredible $1 million dollars.
