Heritage Place is an independently owned retirement residence in Burlington, Ontario that specializes in quality accommodation and services for the active senior. We are offering 2 styles of living: apartment style suites that range from 400 sq ft to 918 sq ft complete with kitchenettes and either balcony or terrace, as well as 2 bedroom fully equipped bungalows (1080 sq ft) with private deck and porch. Meal service, housekeeping, health support services and social activities are all part of the focused services we offer.

What do you do differently or uniquely well?

Heritage Place offers genuine choice in how people want to live their retirement. Some of our residents prefer the convenience of a well-appointed suite with services close at hand, while others enjoy the extra space and independence of a private bungalow. The Heritage Place community is designed to support both lifestyles, allowing residents to enjoy independence while still being part of a vibrant and supportive environment.

What supports do you offer residents as they adjust to life there?

When someone joins Heritage Place, we focus on helping them feel comfortable and welcomed right away. We introduce new residents to the building, dining options, amenities, and the daily rhythm of the community. We also encourage participation in meals, activities, and shared spaces so residents quickly begin meeting neighbours and feeling at home.

How are residents supported if their needs change?

If residents’ needs evolve, additional health and support services can be arranged so they can continue living comfortably within the community. Our staff are available 24 hours a day to provide reassurance and assistance when needed. The goal is to help residents maintain their independence while knowing help is always close at hand.

Under what conditions would you advise someone against choosing your community?

Someone needing a high level of medical care or a more clinical care environment may find a different type of residence more appropriate. Heritage Place is suited to seniors who want an independent lifestyle supported by services, amenities, and a welcoming community atmosphere. Our community works best for people who value independence alongside comfort and connection.

People are pleasantly surprised by the range of spaces and amenities here. Beyond their own suite or bungalow, residents enjoy a theatre, wellness centre, chapel, salon, games room, lounges, and a bistro-style gathering space.
