Cut hotel costs: Stay at a Holiday retirement residence!

Inge Chiruck loves to travel. She was born in Germany and frequently goes back to her native land but she also enjoys visiting other parts of the United States and Canada. Fortunately as a resident of a Holiday Retirement community she can take advantage of the community’s travel programme.

“I think it’s just wonderful that you can travel and stay at the other communities,” Inge says. “It’s so comforting to know you always have a warm place to stay with meals provided. They really make you feel at home.”

Stay free of charge

The Holiday travel programme allows residents to stay free of charge at nearly all of its more than 300 communities across North America. While visiting, residents enjoy a private guest suite and all the same amenities they have at home – at no additional expense.

Standard services at Holiday Retirement communities include three chef-prepared meals served daily, the security of live-in managers available 24/7, transportation, housekeeping and activities and events.

Clearwater Florida to North Carolina

Inge’s most recent travels took her to Clearwater, Florida for a weeklong vacation with her son and daughter-in-law. While on her trip, Inge stayed at Holiday’s Belleair Towers. Inge’s next planned trip is to North Carolina to visit with close friends. There’s sure to be more trips in her future because residents can take as many as they wish.

Save hotel costs; stay with peers

For those like Inge, being able to take their all-inclusive lifestyle on the road is just one of the many attractive aspects of living at a Holiday Retirement community. Residents enjoy the comfort of staying in a welcoming community of peers while avoiding costly hotels and restaurant expenses.

“The travel programme is so convenient, and you don’t have to burden your friends for a place to stay,” Inge says. “Plus, you don’t have to worry about getting a hotel and they treat you so much better! It’s wonderful … I just wish they had a place in Germany!”

Residents take advantage of the programme in a variety of ways. Some use it to escape to warmer climates during the harsh winter months and some visit their grandkids during the summer.

Holiday locations in seven provinces

Canadian Holiday communities are located in Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario, New Brunswick, Saskatchewan, Quebec and British Columbia. There are also residences in 43 U.S. states including some of Holiday’s most popular destinations: California (35 communities), Florida (18) and Hawaii (two).
