Making Toronto A Senior Friendly City

The City of Toronto is developing a strategic plan to ensure that the City of Toronto is a Senior-Friendly City. On Tuesday, September 4 at 1:30 p.m. Councillor Matlow will be discussing this initiative with older adults from the midtown-Toronto community at Central Eglinton Community Centre.

WHEN: Tuesday, September 4, 2012, 1:30 p.m.

WHERE: Central Eglinton Community Centre (160 Eglinton Ave. East, 2nd Floor — Yonge & Eglinton)

Did You Know?:

1)    1 in 5 residents will be over the age of 65 by 2035.

2)    Statistics Canada states that a significant number of seniors live in abject poverty or are homeless.
