There are movie nights in the onsite theatre, and there's also an onsite pub, as well as a café.

My father was one of the earlier residents at Bolton Mills and Carmelina and her team looked after him very well, and they showed a compassion for their residents to the point where my father considered them his friends and trusted them completely. Bolton Mills is a top notch retirement residence in every way from it's look and feel, to the genuine caring, compassion, professionalism and kindness of the entire team. I would highly recommend Bolton Mills as your first choice for yourself or your loved ones.

My dad was a resident and he thoroughly enjoyed. He loved the staff and they loved having him. The activities are first rate and they encourage participation during all the festivities, including the recreation room. My dad became a google wizard at the age of 91. He had a great 2 room unit and loved having people visit and showing them around the facility, often trying to get his older friends to come live there. Thank you to the staff at Bolton Mills for making his stay enjoyable.

My dad has been a resident of Bolton Mills Retirement Community for the past 2 years. Our family is just thrilled that we found a community for him that he loves. The care and support of all the staff has been amazing especially over the past year with COVID. They have gone out of their way to make all the residents feel special and have really worked hard to make sure no-one has felt lonely during this time. The residence itself is warm and inviting from the bright welcoming foyer to the spacious hallways and spacious suites. He is enjoying his meals in the dining room and the little treats the hospitality staff bring to their suites now and then. Thank you to Bolton Mills and Esprit for everything they do in this community. I would recommend this retirement residence to anyone looking in the Bolton Area.

What impresses me the most about Bolton Mills is more than just one element. One, it's the design and the footprint of the actual building and the facilities and how they are laid out that make it very easily accessible by the residents. Many of them require assistance or devices in terms of getting around in the building. And every area is thoughtfully designed so that there isn't a large distance between, say, coming off the elevators and getting to the dining room or to the games room or to the library areas within the building itself. Number two, I'm incredibly impressed by the compassion, the empathy, the commitment by people that work there. Second to none… When we actually walked into Bolton Mills, we instantly felt that element of family, people, caring people, being very interested in my mother, her life story, some of her challenges, what kind of help she needed. That is so prevalent in everything that they do, whether it be the medical assistance or the kitchen staff or whether it's the individuals running the activities. The relief I’ve felt has been absolutely immense. We were all worried constantly about mom. Was she eating? Was she sleeping? ... Now I'm not worried about her anywhere as close as I used to… I know she is getting superior caregiving and care and love.

Our experiences been very positive from our first meeting, to my mom moving in. Our contacts with staff members have always been responsive and there's always immediate attention to any query we might have. They've extended themselves to ensure my mother feels she's in a safe, friendly and responsible community. Their attention to the handling of COVID and its variant OMICRAN, according to Public Health guidelines has been remarkable. The place is clean, warm and inviting. Viva Thornhill Woods stand by their value of "Making Today Great". I know where I want to live when it's my turn to look for Seniors' living.

My husband and I have been at V!VA Thornhill Woods for close to two years. I found there are a lot of activities, such as Zumba, exercise in the swimming pool, and regular exercise in the full gym. There is a bus that takes us to the bank, shopping, trips to the park in the summer, as well as concerts. The food is plentiful and varied, and the staff and community members are very nice.

When I started thinking about retiring and selling my condominium, I did visit several retirement homes. I found that Viva was for me. My apartment, my choice, was the right one for my needs and comfort. The building itself is very welcoming and bright, I met people I knew, and their programs presented, the live entertainment, especially Wendy's programs, exercise classes, outings, three good healthy meals a day, the waitresses and waiters in the dining room, and the staff, are most obliging. I am retired: no food shopping, cooking, or cleaning. It is all provided by Viva.
