The owners of Grandview Retirement Living are known for state-of-the-art buildings characterized by attention to detail. Expect professionalism from a caring staff and enjoy exceptional services in a place you can call “home”.
Amica is a trusted, premium name in senior living, with a reputation for helping seniors live a comfortable lifestyle in its lovely buildings. Amica Dundas brings to bear their three decades of experience in more than 30 locations Canada-wide.
I feel at ease knowing Mom is in a safe and caring environment. The staff is attentive and kind. The move-in process was smooth because of the staff. They were aware of the necessary details for my Mom's care. Also, the meals are healthy and well-balanced. There are many opportunities for activities that make Grandview living pleasurable.
New to Grandview, everyone here is amazing. Very friendly, lots of activities. Very welcoming environment! Sam(Sandra) and John have given excellent service for meals so far. Our lunch server also gave excellent service. Highly recommend.
My mother, Jean, has been at Grandview for three years now. We have only good words to say on the care she has received. The staff is so caring and patient with her. She requires extra care, and they go beyond their means. I feel content that she is well looked after. I give Grandview Retirement a 10-STAR Review. This place is just amazing.
The care and attention shown by staff is much appreciated. My parents are very happy!
Great retirement home. Good communication, and looks after your loved ones to the best of their abilities.
We recently moved our parents into Amica. What a tremendous experience! Mary, our main point of contact, was extremely knowledgeable and so very helpful. Any questions were responded to with top-shelf professionalism! This has been a stressful time for obvious reasons, but the transition has been seamless. The facility and staff are wonderful. Although there will be adjustments, we are looking forward to a great experience at Amica Dundas.
The Sip & Savour event was amazing. The many Greek dishes were scrumptious and plentiful. The employees did a lovely Greek dance, and residents and guests were invited to join in. Everything Amica Dundas does is “top drawer”.
Great place for mom. Safe and secure.
Everything went extremely smoothly right from start to finish. In fact, I can’t think of even one thing that was negative! It’s been very good. You have all been so patient and so much fun.
My parents moved in at the end of July. Melanie went out of her way to ensure their comfort and was excellent to deal with regarding their move. Lisa the GM was also very helpful and open to feedback. Now that they've been there a few months, they are enjoying the amenities, the programming and the location. I appreciate the efforts of all staff to engage residents in programming that fits their interests. Staff at the front desk, especially Carole and Yogi, are very welcoming. I would highly recommend Amica at Dundas.
I spent three months researching retirement residences. It didn’t take long for me to decide that Amica residences were a cut above the rest. Amica is philosophically aligned with my values of diversity, equity, and inclusion. That is reflected in everything they do, including the staff they hire and the programs they provide. Amica Residences are very pet friendly, and they consistently hav ... Read more
My parents have been living at Amica Dundas for 7 months now. Once my Dad lost his driver's licence they were completely dependent on family for all of their needs. Moving to Amica Dundas has given them back their independence and has given my sisters and me the peace of mind of knowing that all of their needs are being taken care of and that they have the support that they need today and will ... Welcome to Grandview Retirement Living, a place where you can feel at home while knowing support is always close by. Life here is about comfort, peace of mind, and enjoying the little things each day. Spend time in the garden room, relax in the salon, watch a favourite film in the theatre, or take a gentle swim in the saltwater pool. For those who enjoy staying active and creative, there’s a craft room, workshop, wine lounge, and even an indoor putting green. Meals are shared in our bright dining room, where the food is prepared with care and the company is even better. Just outside our doors, you’ll find shops, restaurants, and healthcare services, making life easy and convenient. At Grandview, you’ll discover not just a place to live, but a community that feels like family.
Amica Dundas is tucked into a neighbourhood with an inviting combination of established homes and the lovely green spaces and walking trails of the Rotary Creekside Parkette directly beside us. Take advantage of boutiques, services and eateries just steps away or meet a friend for coffee at Detour Café. Our neighbours include the Hamilton Public Library, Dundas Valley School of Art, and Carnegie Gallery.
The Grandview team has a passion for innovative thinking and active lifestyles that truly set us apart from other retirement living communities.
We believe that no one should spend their retirement alone, so we’ve made it our mission to create a friendly, social environment, where new passions and new friendships can thrive.
At Amica, we empower residents to live independently while enjoying the peace of mind that comes with knowing total support is always available if needed.
Our diligent Wellness Team delivers professional, around-the-clock care that is personalized to each resident’s individual needs. Thanks to an in-depth discovery process upon move-in, we can ensure that each senior enjoys both the lifestyle and care experience that is best suited to them and their loved ones.
We take pride in the flexibility our residents have to plan their day as they wish: when and where they dine, which activities and social opportunities to participate in, when to enjoy downtime and more.
Grandview strives to create a unique retirement experience built on activities that encourage personal growth.
The care, safety, and comfort of every Grandview resident is our top priority, so we can help them create the life that they want to live.
We believe that every resident, no matter their needs, should always feel comfortable and be treated with the same levels of respect and dignity.
Seniors are assigned a personal move-in liaison—one of the department leaders of the residence—to assist them with every step of the move-in process. We are happy to provide assistance with downsizing tasks before residents move in as well.
Once seniors arrive, they are paired up with a current resident ambassador. This ambassador helps the new resident navigate their first few days, guiding them and answering questions about all aspects of residence life.

Each Amica residence has its own distinct atmosphere and sense of community, based on the building’s design, its team members and residents, among many other factors. We encourage seniors and their loved ones to gauge whether Amica Dundas feels like the right fit for them by touring the residence, meeting our team and current residents, attending events, and perhaps experiencing a trial stay. Our team is happy to answer all questions families may have, so that we can support them in the decision-making process—even if it means recommending another location.
"Grandview Retirement Living in Stoney Creek, Ontario is a wonderful place for seniors to live & thrive, and I highly recommend booking a tour/meeting to find out everything this retirement home has to offer. Honestly, you won't be disappointed. The home is beautiful, the staff are amazing, and the food is delicious! They also offer a variety of activities/events and the seniors currently living there are so friendly & welcoming to all. My parents transitioned from their home of 40+ years to their new home effortlessly. They are truly happy, relaxed, and I have peace of mind knowing my parents are safe, respected and well cared for". Lori Farr ~ Family Member
Our residence is large in size (215 suites), but the community has an intimate, homey feel. Team members know all residents personally, including their needs and preferences. Seniors easily build friendships with each other as well, meeting during life-enriching activities, dining together and bonding over common interests.
