There are a variety of suites here, suitable for singles or couples.

Before I moved into the Erinview, I lived here in Mississauga, just a few streets over from the Residence. We started searching for a retirment living option when my husband began developing Alzheimer's and taking care of him on my own started to get too difficult. My children suggested that it may be best to live somewhere where there was the option to have certain care and services provided; and they took it upon themselves to find us a place, sell the house, pack us up and help us relocate. Given that we lived so close by, I spent many years driving by the building and seeing it from only its exterior. One day while out for lunch with my daughter-in-laws, they brought me into The Erinview for a tour. I walked in and had a great feeling right from the start. It felt comfortable, spacious; my gut was telling me this was it. The most important thing was to be someplace welcoming and inviting, and still have the space to keep certain pieces and memorabilia that would have been difficult to part with. I listened to my gut upon walking through those doors the very first time, and it spoke to me that this place was to become our new home. My suite has the right amount of space for the items that I wanted to keep, and it's the perfect size to display all my travel items and family photos proudly. The best piece of advice that I have for someone searching for a retirement residence would be to listen to their gut and follow that feeling. One of the things that surprised me what the cost of living in a retirement residence and I wished I had known sooner: I never have to cook again or make long grocery trips. I also love socials and entertainment programs such as music performances - they are my favourite. I also really enjoy going on the outings, especially shopping! My lovely suite has the right amount of space for the items that I wanted to keep and it's the perfect size to display all my travel items and family photos proudly!

I like the exercise programs very much. I think it's necessary. I try to go at least three times a week, sometimes four times a week. It's nice, too, here, you can go out for a walk, the streets in the neighborhood have lots of nice gardens.

VIVA MISSISSAUGA

Our experience at Viva has been great. My dad moved in in Oct. 2020 and although off to a rough start due to Covid he has managed to fit in well. The staff are friendly and food is great.

I stayed here for two weeks following a major surgery. The staff are superb in remembering your name and very quickly understanding your needs. They are very friendly and efficient and respond to concerns almost instantaneously. The ambience and cleanliness of the facility is very welcoming. The restaurant (on site dining room) provides excellent servers, quick, hot food service and ample choices for picky eaters like me. The food is definitely worthy of a five-star rating I was there during the Christmas season and the specialty Christmas menu was excellently prepared, ample portions and choices and served with pride. I would highly recommend this facility for temporary or long term situations.

We looked for many months at several alternatives. We choose V!VA Mississauga [because] we liked the size of the facility. Not to large, not to small. The dining weighed large in our decision. The highly experienced chef creates some amazing menus. The flexibility of menu choice was also a large factor for us. The management and staff at V!VA Mississauga from the General Manager to Housekeeping are a delight and do everything they can to make our day to day living pleasant. I have described our living as having a state room on a luxury liner that never leaves the dock.

Amazing place. My dad loves it here.

I have lived in three different retirement facilities in the last five years and can say, quite honestly, that V!VA offers the best living environment, dietary choice and activity schedule that I have ever known!
