There are many great things to say about St. Elizabeth Village, but one unique aspect of this community is residents' ability to leverage the market value of the home they purchase, through the community's life lease program. Given that real estate values rise consistently in Hamilton (especially on the mountain) this gives you the best of both worlds: the security and freedom of 55 plus living, along with the equity you'll build up from investing in your home here.
Heritage Place impresses right off the bat with its elegant, clean exterior, centered on a quiet courtyard with a lovely gardened gazebo. Inside, you’ll find a happy, welcoming community apparent, as you stroll through areas such as the Dining Room, lit by a bank of windows facing the courtyard. There’s always a slate of things to do every day like card games, yoga, movies, shopping trips, workshops, live music— and the list goes on.
My aunt lives there, and I visit her frequently. It's a nice place with lots of activities.
Gated community that is absolutely lovely. The light displays are wonderful for the entire family. Staff does a great job!
St. Elizabeth's Village is a local 55+ retirement community in Hamilton, Ontario. They run several free events during the year to help support charities in the community. The Village After Dark - Halloween Celebration: It’s a free, all-ages event that collects non-perishable food donations for Hamilton Food Share. It grows larger every year with a scare walk, a light show set to music, and a haunted hay ride! The Holiday Stroll: It's a winter wonderland of dazzling lights and festive music. Those are just 2 examples of the many fun-filled, free activities that you'll find at St. Elizabeth's. There are more to discover. If you're 55+ they also have beautiful new homes available for purchase. What a wonderful place!
Beautiful neighbourhood up in Hamilton Mountain. They have decorated it for Halloween, and it is so nice to see the work they have done. A quiet and peaceful vibe when you enter the village.
Clean and tidy. My aunt likes it.
Love this place, love the people that work there. They take care of my grandma, and they are wonderful with her. She loves all the activities and all the events they do. Great job.
A family member moved here in the summer. She raves about this place. Lots to do. Very friendly environment from guests to staff.
Staff is excellent, the facilities are clean, and the food is honestly really good. My grandmother has been here over a year now, and we are very impressed. I still don't know how the staff remember everyone's names (even the students!) but it warms my heart. Covid protocols have been effective without being too restrictive, which is appreciated. Medical care has also been fantastic, with paramedical services available in-house at no additional cost. The location is easily accessible but also nicely tucked away, with views of the nicely maintained independent living homes on one side, and gorgeous flora and fauna on the other. If your loved ones can afford this level of retirement living, I highly recommend Heritage Place.
My mother has come alive again! Wonderful staff and wonderful care!
Heritage place is a great place very caring staff and awesome community.
