Great care is found at Gilmore Gardens. The environment here leaves nothing to be desired, certainly, but staff really goes out of their way to cater to residents' needs. When you (or one of your parents) experiences a setback, you want to find the best care that will quickly bring you back to enjoying life to the fullest, surrounded by caring people, great friends and an optimally healthy environment. Staff here combines the qualities of being knowledgeable and personable with a love of fun.

It was a very hard decision to sell my house [but it was worth it]. I never thought I would be happy….but I’m happier than I ever thought I would be. They facilitate my art, they help me to continue my art. [Teaching] art classes for residents have been a great success. People that have never drawn or painted before have joined the class and are succeeding. It is just marvelous. I love seeing people happy and satisfied – and sometimes even astonished by what they create. Art… I can’t live without it.

An excellent senior centre facility. Its diversified programs and activities and supportive staff provide a happy healthy lifestyle.

The whole environment was a pleasant surprise. It was a wise choice [to come here] to spend this phase of my life. [It] provides my family great peace of mind to know that I am happy and well cared for.

The place is great for seniors. It's a very safe and secure environment to live. It has a lot of activities happening every week for the residents. The building is well built and the restaurant serves really delicious food.

GILMORE GARDENS

My mother has been a resident for over 2 years, she is almost 90. The staff are very kind and considerate. She loves the activities, the exercise classes, the library and the meals. They have been very good with their [COVID-19] response and precautions.

Gilmore Gardens is truly exceptional. My mother has been a resident for over three years. The leadership is outstanding, and this reflects onto all management and staff. I see residents being treated with dignity and respect, in a warm and welcoming family-style community. [What] sets Gilmore Gardens [apart] is the people - friendly, efficient and helpful in all positions and at all levels.

I'm so very grateful for the care my mother received when she was at Gilmore Gardens.

My expectations were exceeded ... It was great to find such excellent assisted living in the city of Richmond ... I highly recommend Gilmore Gardens for anyone looking for a high level of living and senior care for elderly loved ones.

Newly renovated in 2021, Gilmore Gardens is known in the community for its elegant architecture as well as its warmth and welcoming atmosphere created by the residents and team members. Pets are welcome. Suite options include studios, one bedrooms, one bedroom+ dens and two bedrooms. Each suite has a kitchenette, accessible bathroom and ample storage. Also included is a four course dinner with great choices. Lunch is optional at a reasonable cost, and daily refreshments include fresh fruits, yogurt, coffee, tea, juices and a selection of baked goods!
