Our perspective
The village layout of this community takes us back to the small town feeling of yesteryear. You can visit a hair salon and barbershop, replete with barber’s pole; a library, a bistro, the Vineyard dining, and a chapel round out services you’d expect “downtown.” A unique sense of familiarity and comfort comes out of this, even for those who grew up in a city. Everything is right here.
Medicine Hat and area caregiving families have a premium destination for their loved ones. River Ridge offers the complete continuum of care, in a beautiful, warm, caring environment. This is a wonderful place for everyone, but especially couples where one space requires extended care. Caregiving spouses who move here love that they can be under the same roof as their partner and see them several times daily, but also have their life back.
There’s so much more to praise about this location, beginning with the quality of the location. The community overlooks the South Saskatchewan River, and you’re mere minutes off the highway, making it very convenient for family to visit from out of town. On the exterior of the building, sculpted, tree-lined walking paths make for pleasant, familiar places to stroll.
