Waterside Retirement Community in Carleton Place is the kind of place we dream of retiring to when we get to that age. Overlooking the Mississippi River, near pleasant shops in this peaceful village, it’s a seniors’ oasis. And still, it’s just a half hour away from Ottawa, making it ideal for seniors with family in the west end of the city.

At Waterside, it’s apparent that the entire community is planned around the enjoyment of life. For starters, just look at the list of amenities. There’s an indoor pool, a spacious movie theatre, chef-prepared meals daily, just for starters. Life here is full, including regular onsite lectures, fitness classes, and many trips outside the community to take in local sporting events, museums, and galleries.

Those factors and others work together to create a vibrant community of independent seniors, along with staff who visibly enjoy their work and have enthusiasm for helping those in their care. Loyalty and integrity are further apparent in the fact that there are both team members and residents who have been here for many years. This is ideally affordable for area seniors who love all the best in life and who have family in Ottawa Region.
