This tight-knit, friendly community is ideal for seniors who want a home in Hamilton. Situated close to the highway and to downtown, there's just enough shopping and liveliness in the area. Residents live happily and healthily: one resident turned 104 in late 2016, and another couple once celebrated their 68th anniversary in the community.
Focused on providing the best in seniors' care with affordability in mind, this mid-size retirement residence creates a happy community in the heart of old Hamilton. Close to Dundurn Market and conveniently close to the 403, family finds it very easy to visit senior residents at the Gardens. Care includes a call bell system, with registered practical nurses available during the day and PSWs around the clock.
Community is created through card games, social teas and bingo, as well as proximity to walking trails and outings that take residents to local shopping. Suites include a cable TV in the room, and some include a kitchenette for those who still like to prepare their own meals. Pets are welcome here, as long as they fit into the community. Guests are also welcome at communal meals.

"In my opinion, the care and support the staff at Aberdeen Gardens provided for my mom over the past 3 1/2 + years, went above and beyond retirement home expectations.Dealing with individuals with dementia is difficult at the best of times and far more difficult having the Covid pandemic thrown into the mix.
I recognize the challenge it was for my mom to receive each of her Covid inoculations. Thank you for persevering to ensure she received both vaccines.
I could not have asked for a better ho..."

"My father-in-law has been a resident at Aberdeen Gardens since October 2019. Our family could not be more pleased with the excellent service provided by their extraordinary staff. They care about each and every resident to ensure they are well looked after and happy. This has never been more important than during the COVID 19 crisis. I was impressed with the numerous protocols put in place well ahead of government directives. We receive regular communications from the Executive Director about an..."
My parents have lived at Aberdeen Gardens over a year now coming from an apartment in the city of Hamilton to a unit here. Since both are not in the best of health my mother made the decision to move. Since then she has been able to fit in perfectly by playing bingo, Xbox bowling etc. The care given by Rachel , Maddie, Moira, Nicole and all of the staff to my parents is outstanding. It certainly gives me total peace of mind knowing they are well cared for with regards to their meals, medications, health situations, laundry and housekeeping. All of the staff make a point of knowing each of the residents names as well as their family members they see regularly. The residence is totally well maintained, clean, bright and cheery. There is
always something going on with music, games, exercises, etc. as well as a weekly shuttle for outings if you chose to participate. With every holiday that comes along Barb the Activity Director decorates the residence accordingly making the place very cheery and happy. The once a month birthday celebration is lovely where they have cake and a party atmosphere for residents birthdays throughout each and every month.
In closing I feel it was the right decision my parents made in choosing to live at Aberdeen Gardens.
