As you drive up to Livita Centennial Retirement Residence, you’ll be impressed by the neatness and the clean contemporary look of the building. There’s a charming gazebo that serves as an outdoor meeting place, and you’ll also notice the gardens. Inside is a welcoming lobby, replete with a grand piano. It’s immediately spacious and comfortable. If those things make a nice first impression, what really really matters is how residents live well here.
Residents and their families are deeply heartfelt in their praise of Livita Centennial, commending its easy community of friends, wide array of activities, and professional staff. Perhaps the best thing about Livita Centennial is the caring manner and attitude of staff. You can tell that they genuinely care about those in their care, and they’re passionate about helping others. Residents will tell you that they feel like they are treated like family or like guests at a very exclusive hotel.
There’s lots to keep people busy including crafting activities, billiards, gardening, and seminars in-house, as well as outings to shopping and both local and Toronto attractions. The fitness room and movie theatre are some of the top local attractions inside. For those times when you want to slow things down, there’s a library, copious lounges, or the solace of your own suite.
The food here is excellent, with a focus on meeting seniors’ wants and needs. For example, at monthly food meetings, residents can speak up and voice their opinions and suggestions. Chefs cater to individual needs. Meals include an a la carte menu and there’s also a 24 hour bistro.

We are an age-in-place community nestled in a beautiful residential neighbourhood right across from Centennial Park and it’s lush walkways. Livita Centennial boasts welcoming bright spaces such as a charming lobby complete with grand piano and spacious wide hallways. The lovely views of our grounds include wonderful gardens, a pergola and gazebo. Located in close proximity to local shopping and community services with easy access to local transit and a bus stop, makes getting around easy. We are 2 minutes away from Lakeridge Health Oshawa hospital. We offer in–house supportive healthcare services to help you live life the way you want to live it. Our team will help develop your customized care plan based on social, intellectual, physical care and support needs to ensure you are receiving the most from life at Livita Oshawa. Our Live Balanced Live Better philosophy is just that! Whether you enjoy the quietness of the surrounding nature or the hustle and bustle of the near by shops, life is yours to live the way you want to live it. What supports do you offer residents as they adjust to life there?
Getting settled into your new home has never been so easy. The fully equipped gym and fall prevention exercises are a good start to the day. Grab a bite to eat in Bistro 259 or attend the many activities and events offered here at Centennial. We also have a Library, Games Room, Party Room and Private Dining Room. Your day will be as active as you want while living the way you want to. Our professional and caring on-site Nursing staff can help with medication, lab services, pharmacy requests and assisting with activities of daily living. Sign up to see our Physician who visits every Wednesday. We also offer monthly hearing, vision, mobility, foot care, dental and denture clinics.
