Our Perspective

How we see Symphony Senior Living Orleans

Symphony Senior Living is ideal for seniors from throughout the Ottawa Region looking for a community that is affordably priced. There's easy access to the community from Highway 174, making visits stress-free for family from anywhere in Ottawa (or even further away). When discussing life here, residents highlight the caring staff.

It's a beautifully contemporary, friendly, lo-rise seniors' community in the rapidly growing suburb of Orleans, situated in greenspace close to the Ottawa River. For seniors looking to forget about housework, cooking and the like, or who need help with some daily activities like feeding or dressing, you can choose from a variety of suite styles. Care offered ranges up to assisted living, with housekeeping, dressing and feeding included. It's also pet-friendly, following from an established idea that pets provide comfort and improve seniors' overall well-being.

This community rightfully prides itself on its ability to help seniors and families transition into retirement living, by connecting people with a variety of local moving, and other services. There's also a concerted effort to accommodate people's needs, quirks, and foibles. Those who give it a try are soon very happy to call it "home."

Reviews of Symphony Senior Living Orleans

What residents and their loved ones say about Symphony Senior Living Orleans in reviews.

Erica Somers, family member

" My grandmother has lived at Symphony for 5+ years now. The residents are amazing... The residents and Bob (maintenance staff) are the real heart of Symphony. Since his arrival, Bob has been working tirelessly... One of the residents (Pierette) volunteers to organize things like bingo and pizza for the independent buildings. Thank goodness for her! The residents consistently check up on each other, to ensure that each other is in good health..."

Louise Mercier, family member

"We were nervous about moving mom to assisted living during covid. Would she be safe? Would she be lonely? We are so pleased with the outcome. Symphonies has gone to great lengths to keep its residents safe while providing great activities to keep them busy and happy. Mom's health is much better now because she eats well, has plenty of exercise and is surrounded by a very kind and helpful staff. "

Heather Downe, family member

"I don't think the administration knows just how wonderful their staff is. You have Rose's, a real gem of a nurse. She goes way beyond being efficient and loving to my mom. I text her photos of moms great-grandchildren and she shows mom the photos. I put my mom in Symphony just after the first lockdown. We had already secured the apartment and some furniture was in place. Then covid hit and we kept her out until July. The administration handle all those frighten families, the contracts and payme..."

COVID-19 Information

All four Symphony Senior Living properties are completely COVID-19 free, we have been since the beginning of the pandemic in mid-March. We managed to stay this way because of our extremely dedicated staff and management teams along with our early implementation of safety guidelines!
Our properties have been keeping our friends and families up to date on Facebook with all our activities we've been doing to keep our residents engaged. Staff, managers, and residents have all showcased talents and found a way to have fun while being in quarantine. At the moment, we are not allowing any non-essential visitors so we set up Zoom accounts in every property so family members can connect with their loved ones virtually. We host virtual events and post on our social media daily.

We are now safety accepting new residents into our homes. The guidelines are as follows:
- Negative COVID test within 24 hours prior to admission
- Mandatory 14-day isolation period
- One time companionship fee for residents with dementia.

Call us today and schedule a virtual tour! We'd love to have you.
