“My family and I feel deeply blessed to have been able to relocate my father to Verve Senior Living. Throughout the process the management team went far above and beyond at every turn to help us. This was especially appreciated given Covid 19. They were patient, kind and empathetic, offering guidance and help the likes of which we had never experienced elsewhere. ”
SAFE & SECURE
Our COVID-19 Safety Protocols
At all times we must follow the guidelines set forth by the local provincial health authority. In many cases we implement safety initiatives before the governments mandates them. While we pride ourselves on doing everything we can to keep our residences safe, it does alter the way we connect with the outside community. Despite COVID’s interruption to our regularly scheduled lives, Verve continues to be a vibrant, fun, engaging, and safe place to live thanks to our incredibly creative and caring team members who go the extra mile in all that they do. The Heritage is the destination for West Kelowna seniors and families looking for the finest senior care environment. It's an exceptionally beautiful community, featuring wood grain floors, carpeted stairways, elegantly spacious dining areas and brightly lit suites. It's well-known that living in a better environment improves your overall well-being, and seniors who move into this community find revitalization, an improved outlook, and increased strength.
Staff is very comfortable answering questions you have as you tour here, and when you compare this to other communities in the area you will find this one outstanding in terms of the quality of the facilities and the attentiveness of care workers and others. Just one example of the way these facilities supersede many others in the area is the heated indoor swimming pool. On top of that, there's exquisite food service, in-house yoga classes, a hair salon and a long list of other amenities that make this a place any senior or family member in the area needs to investigate.Read 3 more reviews
At Verve Senior Living, our focus is to provide services and supports that enable seniors to optimize their health, well-being, and independence. During the pandemic we looked to our experienced internal Leadership teams and Health and Wellness Leaders who work closely with our provincial health authorities to provide the best possible roadmap for navigating a worldwide pandemic. Our Infection, Prevention and Control policies and plans, which included visitor screening, masking, social distancing, hand hygiene and thorough enhanced disinfection of our sites allowed us to combat Covid. These plans aligned to provide the utmost in safety and security for our Residents physically, and continues to be an important security measure for attaining their optimal mental health in knowing their safety is at the forefront of all we do.
Our Residents remained in their suites for short periods of time — this was key in keeping the virus out of our Retirement Residences. Health care support continued to be provided on a one-on-one basis and our Life Enrichment team members worked to engage residents in a way that kept them active and socially engaged. All meals, snacks, treats, entertainment, and even happy hour beverages were brought to their suites, which were widely welcomed and appreciated by everyone! By following the safety guidelines and visits with loved ones, walks in the hallways or outside proved beneficial in enhancing both physical and mental exercise.
Mandatory Covid-19 vaccination for all residents and team members in our homes has been instrumental in decreasing the severity of outbreaks. Continuing to keep everyone safe is first and foremost in all that we do at Verve! To find out more on how Residents at Verve felt about living through these times, view it in their words below.
