Baycrest Terraces

Our Perspective

stories

Baycrest Terraces is ideal for people who love other people. As part of the Baycrest Campus, you’ll take part in a dynamic community of many people 55 and older. It’s a setting that fosters new friendships and a new perspective on aging well. Prices are reasonable, and you’ll enjoy interacting with the variety of sparkling, standout personalities this community attracts.

The Terraces have recently (2020) added assisted living and memory floors to their community, fomenting the broadening of a vibrant community that also includes Two Neptune and more. It’s a very friendly environment, perfectly suited to people who’ve grown up in Toronto and want to deepen their connection with the larger Jewish community. The people here are enthusiastic about life together. This rubs off on staff, too, who often join in the fun. Once seniors settle in here, they really flourish, and family also appreciates the benefits of this community.

Suites have all been newly renovated, including a full kitchen and updated accessibility features, so it feels like it was made just for you, which it is. It’s an ideal way to make a new beginning. Given that Baycrest brings a long history of understanding seniors’ needs, expect their addition of assisted living to excel.

Reviews of Baycrest Terraces

Connie, resident
"The front lobby is very inviting…There's a really nice gathering space, a big assembly room for main events. There is a large dining room that has a terrace… There's a room called the Fireside Lounge where activities take place. There's a synagogue on the main floor… There's a really beautiful greenhouse and that's one of my favorite places to hang out. The greenhouse is always open and it's a very peaceful place… There are gym and pool facilities… There's an art room. There are yoga c..."

Anita, resident
"It's a nice place to live. You're well taken care of… If you have a problem, there’s [always] a nurse. So, it may be a minor thing [and] you don't have to call the doctor. The nurse might just be able to help you, or the nurse will be able to contact the doctor. Baycrest [is] a nice place to settle. For us, the important thing was that it was kosher. We wouldn't go to a place that was not. I join whatever is interesting. I go to exercises. I belong to the book club. We have musicals w..."

The Banacks, family member
"Our family is forever grateful to [you] for enhancing our mother’s final years."
