The most immediately striking thing about Whitby Shores is, of course, the vista of the Lake Ontario shorefront. What do you do differently or uniquely well?
Think of us as the #1 Resort Style (or Cruise Ship style) Retirement Community. We do the cooking and the cleaning, and have all the services you need under one roof. Looking to see a show? Come up to our theater or pub. Want to get a workout? Our trained fitness instructors can lead you in the right direction. Whether your looking for a relaxing swim in the salt water pool, an outing to a local hot spot or simply enjoying a cup of coffee with friends in our café, we have it all.
What supports do you offer residents as they adjust to life there?
From the moment you choose your move in date, our managers and move in co-ordinator will make the move in process as smooth as possible. On move in day you will be greeted by the warm faces of our Team Members as well as our Welcoming Committee made up of fellow Community Members that live on your floor. Over the first couple weeks you will have many chances to get oriented with the building by Team Members and Community Members.
What might residents find surprising about your community?
The warm atmosphere, high ceilings and floor to ceiling windows make the building bright and spacious. The colour scheme and finishes give it a sense of class, but the friendly faces will make it feel like home.

"Diana took my husband and myself for a tour of this Community. I was looking at it specifically for Assisted Living for my mother - although they do have a variety of care levels available. The building is beautiful inside and out. The resident rooms are bright and spacious as are any of the other areas throughout the residence. It had a resort type feel to it - bright and cheery.
