How we see Wintergreene Estates - Verve Senior Living
This community is brought to you by Verve, and they really do bring Verve to living here. When new people move in, they're made to feel welcome and comfortable. The new surroundings soon become a new home, one that – in many ways – might be the best home you can imagine.
When you walk in, you'll see residents enjoying life in a variety of ways. That can include a card game in the multipurpose room, or someone getting a massage in the spa, or a small group happily working out in the fitness centre. The large multipurpose room has a variety of places where people can create their own intimate groups for conversation or games. Further inside, the spacious dining room opens onto bright sunlight. It's a bright, lively place that should be a welcome change from the inherent loneliness of holding onto a home.
Activities available include gardening and outdoor walking programs to make outdoors, or bingo nights, movie nights, and shuffleboard, inside. The residence is well-established but also updated. You can tell that the seniors here feel at home, comfortable in their surroundings, cared for in a Personal Care community. Wintergreene Estates gives Regina residents the very best in senior living.

Who are you as a community?

What do you do differently or uniquely well?
Wintergreene is known for creating an engaging and positive dining experience. We offer a creative menu, meal options, and bring our monthly loving Living Loving Local theme into our meals, cooking demos and activities. There is no assigned seating and residents choose when they would like to have their meal within a window of time. Wintergreene also has a number of Life Enrichment Signature programs such as Fit Minds, Meet Me at the Moma, Drum Fit, and Go 4 Life Walking for residents to enjoy.
What supports do you offer residents as they adjust to life there?
As residents adjust to their home at Wintergreene, we welcome them with a new resident luncheon to get to know the managers and other new residents. We also offer a resident ambassador program where new residents are paired with another resident to have a couple of meals together and learn more about day-to-day living at Wintergreene. We offer a variety of other supports such as Scheduled Health Service supports as well as a wide variety of recreation opportunities for residents to choose from.
How are residents supported if their needs change?
At Wintergreene Estates, we take a flexible, resident-focused approach as needs evolve. Our Health and Wellness team works closely with residents and families to arrange additional support and services, allowing residents to continue living comfortably in familiar surroundings. The focus is always on maintaining independence while ensuring the right support is in place at the right time.
Under what conditions would you advise someone against choosing your community?
If you want a quieter, more minimalist environment, you might find another setting more suitable. Wintergreene Estates is designed for seniors who enjoy a vibrant residence lifestyle, inspired dining experiences, and a community where engagement and connection are part of everyday life.
What might residents find surprising about your community?
Residents are surprised at how quickly team members learn their names. Residents are often surprised at the timely response to questions, inquiries, and addressing problems. Residents are delighted by the extra mile that team members will go to get the job done. Residents and families frequently comment on the friendliness and engagement of the staff. Residents are pleased with the quality, variety, and tastiness of our daily menu features.

Over the next five years, we’ll continue building on the lifestyle residents already value here: enhancing wellness, dining, and social experiences while expanding the ways we support residents as their needs evolve.
