At Edgewood Suites we know life changes quickly and social inclusion helps with the adjustment of moving into a new environment. We provide quality social events that take the guesswork out of meeting new people and trying new things.
Over the winter we enjoyed a bus trip through the Festival of Lights in Owen Sound, a wine and cider tasting, and a St. Patrick’s event with theme food and trivia. Through spring we hosted a paint and sip night where tenants, friends, and enjoyed a guided painting lesson. We were joined by Carol Good, a local published poet, for a reading from her work Alive & 65: A Celebration. Carol led us un a creative writing workshop to encourage the craft as a hobby and a way to process life and its challenges. We celebrated Canada’s birthday with a tasty barbeque and flew a kite in the Hopeville Kite festival to round out the summer season. But rest assured, our tenant-led Social Committee ensures that not a week will go by without something scheduled to get you out and about. If weekly coffee hours, potluck dinners, and biweekly bingo nights aren’t enough, why don’t you fly to Spain for an 18-day, all-inclusive holiday with your neighbours? A tenant organized trip to Costa Blanca, Spain is the piece de resistance of the community of like-minded friends Edgewood Suites offers.
