When you first pull into the Livita Barrington, it feels like a drive into a secluded, well-maintained estate. The setting is peaceful and calming, next to a private school, in an area populated by mature trees. For people making a move later in life, if that setting feels welcoming, it’s merely the basis for the warm, friendly community that you’ll find here. This is a move into a new home that truly feels homey.
In a few short years, The Meadows of Aurora has created a mid-rise village of people who share both faith- and age-related values. It’s rightfully described as a “lovely community” that’s “caring and joyful.” The Meadows has carved out an idyllic lifestyle set in the countryside near Aurora, perfect for older Christians from the area, or those with family near here. Here, you can share life and moments together with like-minded, faith-oriented people.
Through my experience I would not want my grandparents anywhere else. The care team genuinely care as if they are all one big family. Knowing the little details about the residents is what sets them apart. Things like knowing a favorite food or game is what makes the residents feel seen and cared for. They have set the bar for care so high it makes it hard to imagine being anywhere else.
The staff at Livita are over the top professional and kind to all the residents. Our dad has been a resident for a couple of years and calls his room "home". Meals are excellent and nutritious. Extra activities are frequent and enjoyable. We have a real comfort level that dad is in a retirement home that respects him and his his every need.
Livita Barrington has been such a welcoming retirement home for my Dad. They have gone above and beyond in making his adjustment to his new home. Last week we had a fantastic BBQ with lots of fun and games and music. We are very happy with everyone so friendly and caring.
On behalf of our Mother, Audrey Sanderson, we would like to thank all the staff at the Barrington for being so supportive to our Mom. It was a very trying time for her & us. All the staff went above & beyond helping her settle in. At times Mom could be challenging & even though she was confused, she was happy & you could hear her sing "The Old Gray Mare." The Barrington makes you feel at home & everyone does their part to see that you feel that way.... We would not hesitate to refer The Barrington to anyone. Thanks to all of you.
... One last thank you to you and your staff for all the love and care you have provided mom in the past couple of years you are all true professionals!
It’s hard to say how many new friends we’ve made since moving here. After you get to see people a couple of times it seems like everybody is your friend. Walking is a big thing here. Right behind the phase 2 building, there’ s a pond that’s really nice. They put a paved around it with benches and lights and umbrellas. You can’t walk around that pond too often without meeting new people from the new building. We get to know people there and do our best to make them feel welcome. We’ve been here 5 years and I’ve never really talked to anyone that didn’t love it here.
My mom has just just moved into the Woodland Towers, independent living section. The staff here are amazing and extremely helpful. The grounds outside are very well kept and the inside amenities are second to none. We were even able to watch the wild turkey wander around the grounds. The building has lots of finer details and she is very happy with her decision to move here. The sunsets from the 7th floor are absolutely amazing.
Awesome place! My parents just love it. There are so many friendly people. Everyone looks after each other.
