Queens Estate is an exceptionally well-organized care community, given its newness. We think that comes from Metta Lifestyles’ decades of experience offering senior care. Here, you’ll find a cosy, familiar environment, comforting to those needing assistance or dealing with symptoms of dementia or Alzheimer’s Disease. It’s unique among area retirement homes in offering of a range of care options. Aside from personal assistance and memory care, the variety of stay options includes convalescent and guest stays as well as the provision for hiring your own home care. They're welcoming and flexible.
Parkland on Eglinton offers luxurious elegance for seniors who want to leave behind all the pesky annoyances of home ownership and step into a lifestyle that renews and deepens their love of life. Find contentment and happiness in a setting that’s made just for people like you who want to remain as independent as possible and still feel vital and vibrant. Inside the building alone there’s enough to make every day a rich experience, and on top of that, you’re in the heart of a great city.
To the wonderful UHN team! Thank you so much for showing such care, patience, kindness, and support during my mom and dad's stay here. Our family is very grateful and remembers your kindness!
Very clean, very friendly, with lots of activities. Staff are incredibly friendly and easy to work with
My mother has been living at Queen’s Estate for the past 1.5 years and was recently accepted at long-term care. She is 80 years old, has dementia and is exit-seeking. The staff have been really great here. They have been professional and have communicated very well about my mother’s needs. You can see that the ladies who took care of my mother really cared about her. I felt that my mother was safe in this place, and I would recommend it for anyone with an elderly parent who needs extra care and attention.
Moving my mom from her longtime home to a memory care retirement community was an emotional transition. After visiting a few other places, Queens Estate immediately felt right. From day one, Agnes, Sharon, Ivie, and the entire staff treated my mom with kindness, patience, and respect. While adjusting to her new home came with challenges, seeing how the staff treat her like family has been truly heartwarming. The consistent care and thoughtful updates have given me peace of mind as she settles in, becomes more comfortable, and stays engaged with activities that keep her mind active.
The staff at Queen's Estate are incredibly caring and committed to making this a home for our mother. Moving our mom, who is on a journey with dementia, into a care home was difficult. The staff at Queen's has made the transition a lot easier for mom and us.
My parents just moved into Parkland on Eglinton. The care, communication, and attention during the pre-move-in process have been stellar. Every person we have met along the way has been kind, warm, and positive. Yesterday was move-in day. My parents, and our whole family, who came along for the occasion, were greeted by name at every interaction. The staff also received glowing feedback from the moving company who they were able to liaise with throughout the day. We are all looking forward to becoming a part of the Parkland Community. Thanks for the warm welcome. Special thanks to Abigail, Gurpreet, Joseph, Maria, and Victor!
This is a beautiful place to live as a senior: high-end with a pub with billiards and a beautiful pool, pet-friendly, and the people are amazing. I would love to retire and live at Parkland. The staff is very friendly, would highly recommend Parkland to anyone!!
The staff is super friendly, and the positive energy the residents provide is contagious!
This building has a bougie layout and is located in a great area. Stores are nearby and great amenities!
Beautiful site with friendly staff and lovely amenities!
A well-run facility that puts residents first. Beautiful modern building and facilities. Very good indoor parking that is heating in the winter. The staff is very friendly. The restaurant has a wide choice of meal choices. There are no timed multiple sittings. You can stay as long as you want for a meal.
Conveniently located off the 401 and minutes from Humber Hospital, Queens Estate is a brand-new continuum of care community with superb care services and a state-of-the-art memory care program. We offer flexible care service options that suit our residents evolving needs. Our community offer spacious amenities, such as a theatre, manicured outdoor gardens and vaulted-ceiling dining room. Our memory care program offers a resident-centric approach that celebrates their life’s journey.
Inspired by residents' continued independence and quality of life, Parkland on Eglinton West offers a personalized blend of freedom and comfort along a full continuum of care. Residents and family members can take comfort knowing our communities are beautifully designed, professionally staffed and a place where safety is a top priority. Residents in all lifestyles enjoy fine dining, social activities and multiple opportunities to live their best life!
Queens Estate is more heavily known for our Metta Memory Program and how our Residents are integrated within each level of care.
Parkland offers a full continuum of living options, from fully independent apartments with full kitchens to fully supported Enriched Care.
We provide five distinct Lifestyle Choices to meet a variety of needs.
Independent residents can access flexible à-la-carte meal and care services.
Should a resident's needs change, they receive priority access to enhanced support.
Moving into a memory care community is a big step for both residents and their families. That’s why we take a calm, personal approach from the very beginning. We spend time getting to know each resident—their routines, preferences, and personal history—so we can create a sense of familiarity right away. Our team gently introduces daily rhythms, spaces, and people, helping residents feel safe, recognized, and included. Just as importantly, we support families through that transition as well, so everyone feels informed, reassured, and connected.
Your new home will be fully prepared for your arrival day. Our Move-In Coordinator will guide you through the logistics, answer any questions you may have, and ensure your requests are completed in a timely manner-such as picture hanging, mounting your TV, or other setup needs. They will also make sure your TV and phone are working, so you can settle in and relax right away. Over the first few days, our management team will personally introduce themselves to get to know you and learn more about your preferences for recreation, dining, and more.
As needs change, we adjust support within our continuum of care, without disrupting the sense of home that residents have built here. We work closely with families to revisit care plans and make thoughtful, respectful adjustments. Because our approach is flexible and our team already knows each resident well, those changes can feel seamless. Our goal is always the same—to provide the right level of support while maintaining comfort, dignity, and a strong sense of belonging.
When does a resident typically need to move units or communities?
A move is recommended if care needs increase beyond what can be safely supported in the current suite. Even then, we encourage independence and choice every step of the way.
How does your community help with the transition?
If a move is recommended, additional help can be added based on a nurse’s assessment and suite availability. Our team supports residents and families through the transition, ensuring comfort and continuity of care.
Can outside support be brought in?
Yes. Residents are welcome to arrange their own outside support, and we also offer in-house Parkland Plus PSW services for added convenience and peace of mind.
Queens Estate isn’t the right fit for someone looking for an independent lifestyle with minimal support or involvement from staff. Our community is designed specifically for individuals who benefit from memory care and a supportive, engaged environment. We’re at our best when we can provide both care and connection—supporting residents in a way that helps them feel safe, included, and valued every day.
Parkland on Eglinton West may not be the right fit for someone who wants a minimalist lifestyle.
Many people are surprised by how much life and engagement they see here. While they may expect a focus on care, what stands out is the sense of community—residents participating in daily activities, enjoying shared spaces like our dining room or gardens, and being part of something meaningful.
Families are also pleased with the effect of our high staffing ratios and the personalized care that results. The warmth, compassion, and energy here reflects a belief that every stage of life should include moments of joy and connection.
Residents are often surprised by how seamless and well-supported daily life feels here. From the moment you move in, details are taken care of, whether it’s setting up your suite, coordinating services, or helping you get connected. Many also appreciate the balance between independence and support, with access to amenities, dining, and care services all within one community, without feeling institutional.
Looking ahead, we’ll continue to build on the strength of our memory care approach, deepening the ways we support residents through personalized care, meaningful programming, and a thoughtfully designed environment. We evolve by listening to residents and families, and finding new ways to enhance comfort, engagement, and quality of life. Our focus is always on creating a place where people feel secure, respected, and truly at home.
Parkland on Eglinton West will continue to evolve based on resident feedback and the evolving needs of seniors. That includes enhancing services like Parkland Plus, expanding programming, and refining how we support independence with flexible care options. Our focus will always be on delivering a well-managed, responsive environment where people feel supported, informed, and confident in their daily lives.
Our Metta Memory Program is focused on dignity, familiarity, and engagement.
Our approach is resident-centred, celebrating each senior’s life story and abilities.
Our community includes thoughtfully designed spaces, from inviting dining areas to outdoor gardens.
We’re part of the Metta Lifestyles family, with a strong focus on comfort, care, and connection.
Our continuum of care includes assisted living, and our support easily evolves as residents’ needs change.
