The Edward sets another new standard in elegantly luxurious retirement living in the city of Calgary. Every aspect of this building is upscale and nothing but the absolute finest. You’re greeted by a concierge. There’s a long list of in-house amenities that includes several outdoor patios, a rooftop garden, an elegant piano bar, an in-house creative studio, a fitness centre, wellness centre, and a salon and spa. Suites are spacious and ultra-modern, with European-style kitchens and designed for the ultimate in comfort.

Among the highlights of The Edward, we must talk about the dining, and delve deeper into the amenities. Five star dining here meets or exceeds the standards of the city’s finest restaurants. Fare is a daily experience, really, with meals made of the finest fresh, farm-to-table ingredients and crafted into culinary delights by professional chefs.

The design and decor of amenities is striking in itself, including The Marda Theatre, The Marjorie dining room, and The Nest bistro. The naming of features gives you a foretaste of their exclusivity and acute attention to detail. For example, The Marjorie features a marble and stone fireplace, meals are always served with wine, and you’re likely to be entertained by live jazz. You’re greeted by a maître d’ who describes specials and bar selections. That’s just one instance of the impeccable elegance of The Edward. And for all that, it’s important to note that dining is flexible, and you can also eat in the more casual bistro.

Suffice it to say that you don’t really need to set foot outside of the building to be wowed on a daily basis. With only 95 suites but dozens of floorplans, The Edward accommodates residents who value personalized services, secure surroundings, enriched experiences, and comfortable, design-forward spaces. These values all come together in the lifestyle suites we offer in Studio, 1-Bedroom, and 2-bedroom layouts. ‘Downsizing’ has never been so upscale. STUDIO A Studio suite is ideal for the active resident who wants to simplify their living area with a cozy urban-sized space. 1-BEDROOM SUITES The Edward’s 1-Bedroom suites provide that extra bit of privacy, with a separate sleeping space from the rest of the residence. 2-BEDROOM SUITES Two-Bedroom suites offer residents a second bedroom for use as a guest room, office or hobby space, plus a second washroom. Our Suites The Edward’s suites were designed for maximum comfort and livability. All suites are individually temperature controlled (both heat and cooling), a European-style kitchen and a comfortable living space to relax in and welcome guests. From expansive windows, you’ll enjoy cityscapes or westerly views – some suites even have private balconies.
