The Comfort Life report:
Parkland on the Glen

Our Perspective

stories

This building has it all for Toronto seniors. Condo ownership is available for those looking to invest. Rental suites offer exceptional retirement features, with some assistance available. This results in an integrated community, where seniors can decide to switch from condo ownership to care, in a community they're already familiar with. The best thing about the Parkland, though, is the unique combination of in-building luxuries and abundant conveniences just outside the door.

Still very new (founded in 2010), this seniors' tower combines rental units on floors 2 to 11, with user-owned condos higher up. This is situated very conveniently for your family in Mississauga and Brampton, while offering proximity to local shopping, churches and other services. Care available includes assistance with housekeeping and meals, with other health services (bathing, feeding, dressing, etc.) available for a fee; assisted living is found on the building's third floor.

Amenities inside include a year round swimming pool, fitness studio, pub, and movie theatre. You never really have to go anywhere else to have a good time. There are also chef-prepared meals in the dining room, with changing weekly menus. Residents have been known to move here just for the food.

Community’s Perspective

We asked Parkland on the Glen to answer the following questions:

Who are you as a community?

Rental units located from floors 2 to 11 with a dedicated assisted floor located on the 3rd level. All rental units have functional kitchens. Condo rental units available with full kitchens. Chauffeur service that takes residents to medical appointments, area shopping malls and church service on Sunday. Parkland has a small footprint so our amenity space is easily accessible and the suites are closeby the elevators.

Reviews of Parkland on the Glen

Leila Wilson, family member
"I can’t say enough great things about Parkland on the Glen and its staff. My dad has made it his home for 4 years and loves it. The staff are always friendly, helpful, caring and respectful. Their wide variety of activities, services and delicious meals are topped off with a beautiful setting. "

Shannon Colbert, family member
"Mom is opening up her circle of friends since moving here. There’s a real down east, hometown feel to it. You see this in different aspects of the community there,[especially in] some of the activities that they run. There’s a family feeling [in] a small community where everybody knows everybody, everyone says hello. It’s comfortable. "

Charles Hicks, resident
"We're really connected here. We're a close family, and everyone (kids and grandkids) are all within 10 minutes. [This place] has everything you would want or need, it's wonderful."
