How we see Retirement Suites By The Lake
A very modern facility conveniently close enough to the heart of Toronto but situated most closely to Scarborough Bluffs. With a smaller number of suites than some other residences, it creates a close-knit community. The Bluffs are one of the best natural settings in the entire GTA, with spectacular views of Lake Ontario., and there's also Scarborough Heights Park and the spectacular flora of Rosetta McClain Park.
Living at the Suites, you can choose to partake of "just enough" activities, as listed on the calendar. There are shared activities ranging from crafts to board games to just sitting out on the patio in summer, chatting with friends. That atmosphere is casual, though, and if you want to spend time reading or watching Netflix in your suite, you can do that, too. Suites are all spacious private units.
Delicious meals are served in the bistro, with table service available, as well as consideration of special diets. Care on hand includes a 24 hour call system, and all housekeeping needs are taken care of for you. The Wellness Department works closely with residents to tailor care to individual requirements. Activities range from regular arts and crafts time to special events like a Christmas Bazaar. The location of the home makes it very appealing for family of all ages to stop in and visit. It's an exceptional retirement home with heart!

Who are you as a community?
Retirement Suites By The Lake is located in the Scarborough Bluffs community near the beautifully landscaped Rosetta McClain Gardens. We have been the number one choice in the Beaches, Cliffcrest, The Guild and Cliffside for over 12 years. Residents can feel safe knowing our Wellness centre is staffed and assistance is available 24 hours, 7 days a week. Weekly housekeeping is included and consists of weekly cleaning and Linen service. Residents enjoy meals served in our beautiful Dinning Room. We offer services including portering, medication administration, bathing and one person transfers. Our Monthly Activity Calendar is posted on our website; keeping safe and connected while Celebrating Life's Journey.

Retirement Suites By The Lake feels like Home. It is a place to feel connected and inspired to make new friends, and find new interests. We are located one block from Rosetta McClain Rose Park which offers extensive paved walking paths surrounded by rose gardens, water features, trees, and flower gardens. For those seeking access to the outdoors and greenspace, you will find this a little piece of heaven with a bench just for you to sit and enjoy.
What supports do you offer residents as they adjust to life there?
We understand any transition can feel overwhelming, we are here to help. Our Team will work with you and your family to make the transition into our community smooth and seamless. We are able provide referrals with proven community partners to assist with downsizing, moving and complete Suites set up. Our team will be with you each step of the way as you settle in. Our Chef will welcome you into our Dining Room and ensure you enjoy your meals while our Dietary, Housekeeping and Recreation staff work together to make you feel welcome and comfortable.

We are very proud of the community we have built at Retirement Suites By The Lake, our community feels like home and residents often share how quickly they feel confident they made the "right" decision. Reasons for exceeding expectations often include the comfort of making new social connections, enjoyment of our wide variety of recreation and social events, and the clarity of having made the right decision to making them feel safe. Many are simply thrilled to have delicious meals prepared by our Chef and then not to have to do the dishes !

Our Meals are prepared by our Chef with a focus on Field to Table using locally sourced produce and menu staples. Our Trained Dietary Staff always have a smile on their faces as the welcome our residents into our bright, open and spacious Dining Room. I hope you find yourself enjoying a coffee or tea in our Sit and Sip Coffee Shop which is open 24 hours a day. We also host Pub nights with entertainment, alcohol beverages are available.

Welcome to Retirement Suites By The Lake, this community is home to people- it feels cozy, it feels comfortable. Living here gives you the opportunity to have coffee with an old friend everyday of the week. Our helpful and friendly staff are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We want you to spend your time doing the things you want to be doing, let go of the chores ! We will take care of home maintenance and daily chores. We are so lucky to be beside Rosetta McClain Park, our residents enjoy strolling through their beautiful kept gardens while admiring clear views of Lake Ontario and the Scarborough Bluffs. Our Maintenance department provides rapid assistance with issues that arise in individual suites. We also have security cameras , personal emergency response systems and staff on site 24 hours a day to ensure your safety and security.

Getting around our Birch Cliff and Cliffside neighbourhoods is easy! There is a TTC bus stop right outside our door, Wheeltrans and taxi cabs currently transport many residents to and from their destinations and best of all - our shuttle bus runs several times throughout the month! When not driving to scheduled outings (theatre, casino, attractions, events etc.), our community bus will take residents to run errands in the area.
