Halloween Memories and Sharpie Pumpkins

Right Brain Creativity at The Vineyards Residence

In early October a group of residents and staff members at The Vineyards gathered to decorate pumpkins using Sharpie markers. Trivia beforehand and some reminiscing of past Halloweens set the stage for creativity to flow. “Watching the residents create, draw and colour was an opportunity to learn more about each individual”, shared Christie Howard, Recreation and Wellness Manager.  The activity reinforced the use of the right side of the brain, the cerebral hemisphere attributed to creativity and artistic ability.

These unique masterpieces are proudly on the display shelf outside suites.
