Pet Therapy with Winston at The Vineyards Residence

Winston brings out the best in residents.

Say the name “Winston” and immediately you’ll find everyone at The Vineyards Residence smiling and looking for their furry friend. Winston is a small, mixed-breed dog that belongs to Recreation and Wellness Manager Christie Howard. Winston provides unofficial pet therapy three times a week when he accompanies Christie to work, and has quickly earned a spot in the hearts of everyone at the residence. 

“Winston is discerning and intuitive. He knows who to run to and sit with. He loves to be snuggled and held and will sit at a person’s feet until he’s picked up. He brings out the very best of each resident’s personality,” Christie says. 

While treats are carefully limited to keep Winston healthy, the joy he brings is in abundance!
