Four Elms is a well kept and managed retirement home. Unfortunately, my mother (due to her medical situation), could not enjoy the various activities available. The staff was attentive and minor, typical problems were dealt with promptly and professionally by the general Manager Luis Oliveira. It is a place I would warmly recommend to my friends.

Our parents lived at Four Elms for over a decade. Over the years they, our father in particular, participated in several activities that he found interesting, especially art. There was no shortage of choices for those that were interested. The staff were always kind, thoughtful and respectful. As the end of Dad's life came closer the nursing staff were wonderful and attentive. I'd like to compliment all the staff from the administrative folks who made our dealings with them easy and hassle-free, to the maintenance team who were always ready to repair anything, the nursing team who were caring and skilled, the housekeeping staff who made sure his home was in good condition, and finally the servers who interacted with my parent's several times a day....always greeting them with a smile and accommodating their culinary wishes as best they could. While no place is as perfect as your own home, Four Elms was a safe and caring environment that met the needs of our ageing parents.

My experience with Four Elms has been AMAZING!! Everyone is always so friendly & accommodating.. The building always looks in immaculate condition -- so well maintained -- & it's a pleasure being in such a clean, cheery & beautiful environment.... Whenever I have needed information or advice, the staff are always there to help out with a smile... The PSW's & nursing staff do everything to keep my mother comfortable & happy -- Daniella, the head nurse, goes above & beyond & is just a doll. Whenever I speak to my mother on the phone, she's always raving about how kind the staff are & how well she's being treated. I highly recommend Four Elms to anyone who is looking for a senior residence, either for themselves or for a loved one.

Our father was part of the Four Elms Retirement Center community for four years. The amazing staff and management teams exceptional care and kindness provided to him was very comforting and much appreciated.

My mom and dad had a beautiful apartment here until dad passed away after being here for 6 months...then mom was moved to the 2nd floor where her care was upgraded and for the next 6 years was very happy with her new surroundings. She had fantastic caregivers, the meals were fresh and well made and our family was very pleased with Four Elms.

Unfortunately my Mom only enjoyed 6 months at Canterbury Place and then passed away. But I was grateful that for the last 6 months of her life she was able to relax and not worry about cooking and cleaning. She loved Canterbury Place and said it made her feel like when she was on a cruise ship (great dining, movie theatre and activities).

Canterbury Place is a lively community. Before my mom moved there, she did not think she would enjoy living in a retirement home. Her opinion of retirement homes changed drastically after moving to Canterbury Place. Canterbury Place is very conveniently located and it is a multi-cultural community where everyone is friendly and welcoming. My mom made many friends and enjoyed many activities there. Suffice to say, it wasn't an easy decision for her to move to a different retirement home after spending only one year in Canterbury Place. She is now closer to family.
I like to mention that both the management and the staff of Canterbury Place were very accommodating before, during and after my mom moved. They did everything possible to make the transition as smooth as possible. We are very grateful for their kindness.

I moved to Canterbury Place in mid February of this year. I chose Canterbury because the team makes sure residents are safe and Covid protocols are followed. Being at Canterbury makes me be around people and I wish I can socialize more. The staff and management team is very nice, kind, considerate and polite. They make me feel at home and I need to try my best to adapt.

Canterbury Place is a fantastic home! All the staff are outstanding! My parents are so happy with their move to Canterbury. My mother, Catherine, enjoys many activities such as bingo, movie night and cruise week. My father, Thomas, loves the food! The guest musical artists provide fun entertainment to the community. Everyone from Marketing, Reception, Housekeeping, Nursing, Dining, Maintenance and management makes my parents feel welcome.

When Covid started over a year ago, Maureen asked me to write a note for the staff to acknowledge the sacrifices that everyone is making during this unprecedented time. It slipped my mind but after what I heard what was done for my mother today, I have to let you know that the staff, past and present, that work at the Canterbury Place are angels on earth. They make a world of difference to all the seniors living in this community. I know, as with the rest of my family, that my mother is the best place. I can remember that fateful day back in January 2017 when I met Maureen, Rachelle and Gary for the first time, and I knew it was going to be an amazing experience for my parents. This experience continues today. A special thanks goes out to Mario. He is a rock, a saint, and very much appreciated for what he does to keep the building running smoothly. Actually, this sentiment goes out to all the staff. What you do is important, and it takes a special personality and commitment to put up with all those old folks:)
