The Comfort Life report:
Kingsbridge Retirement Community by Signature

Our Perspective

stories

Like the city it’s found in, Kingsbridge combines a respectful nod to the past with an eye on progress and renewal. Old fashioned values of care, comfort, and coziness are a persistent part of the environment here, but then there’s an array of features you might not have thought you needed — but are such a privilege to have daily access to. Days inside can be full! Sit with a book in the library, enjoy a worship service in the chapel, exercise with friends in the fitness room, or play around of billiards in the games room. It absolutely feels like there’s something for everyone under this roof.

Changing your address is suddenly not just appealing but urgent, when you can move to a place superior in every way to remaining alone or in an environment you’ve outgrown.

The first thing you notice about the Kingsbridge as you drive up to it, is the elegance of the exterior. Balcony railings and curving facades give a sense of flight and grace. And when you walk in, you might indeed feel lighter, thanks to the expansive, bright interiors and the obviously happy people around.

The staff offers respect and approachability as a given, and it soon becomes apparent that there’s a closeness with each other and with people in their care. You can tell that people here love what they do. When we talked to staff, they exemplified the importance of communication and connection.

Teri-Lynn Yeates, family member
"My mother has been a resident of Kingsbridge Retirement Community since it opened. From the day she moved in it has been a very positive experience. The entire staff has made her welcome in her new home. The staff is wonderful & and the activities and socializing are amazing. The covid pandemic has changed our lives but the creativity and [relentlessness] of this staff has been unwavering. It has given us such peace of mind having these “angels “ look after our loved ones in these difficult ..."

Debbie Emmerson, family member
"I (along with my sisters Susan and Wendy) wanted to take a moment on to express our appreciation for all the great care and services you and your team provide for our parents. It has been 1 year since they joined the Kingsbridge Retirement Community. We feel the physical and social attention given to our parents has extended their lives. One year ago, they were both quite ill, [and] we did not know how the year would evolve. Looking at 2020 there have been some challenges worldwide but the truth..."
