One of the highlights of life at the Roxborough is the social gatherings. There are musical offerings in the parlour, delicious spreads of chef-prepared food, and regular activities like strawberry socials and more. That said, a number of residents here advocate for simple living and the joys of relaxation. Throughout the community you'll find residents engaged in casual, happy conversation. It's obvious, then, that this feels very much like home to the people here – a home populated with good friends.
Newmarket and area seniors find a wonderful, fresh new home in the Roxborough. It's thrilling to find a seniors' community of this quality! The building is immaculately kept throughout, from the exterior to the diverse suites you find throughout the community.
Seniors and family members agree that the Roxborough renews people's enjoyment of life. That begins with the refreshment of moving into such a well-kept clean place, where staff are especially gifted at taking a personal interest in each individual. Within the community, there's an opportunity to eat with a variety of other residents and deepen friendships every day. The social life here is varied and scheduled at a relaxed pace throughout the day. Some of the residents' favourite activities include excursions, cocktail hour, the gardening club and religious services in house. It's a revelation to many people how great life in a community of peers can be. Both seniors and their families find astonishment that life can become new again, no matter what stage you find yourself at.

"I just can't say enough about how great the Roxborough Retirement Residence truly is. My Dad, who is 96, has called the Roxborough home for 10 years and there is no other place that I could envisage that could ever be better. The staff are amazing - management, office staff, maintenance, housekeeping, dining staff - all are so friendly and hard working, all with fantastic memories, it seems, as they not only know all the residents by name but also the visitors! Nothing is ever too much troubl..."

"The Roxborough has been home to my parents for the past 10 years. Never has it been clearer to me the care and attention they receive from everyone at the Roxborough than over the past pandemic year. The residence's extensive and careful measures have kept my parents safe and well. All the while, the staff and management have consistently taken extra steps to ensure my parents' daily needs are met. Under normal circumstances, not only has the Roxborough felt like home to them, but also to me, my..."

"I want to thank the management and staff at the Roxborough for making my mother feel like she is part of a larger family. The fun costume parties and other planned events are reflective of the energy and positivity that each and every staff member from dining room to management put forth. The Roxborough has been second to none in maintaining the safety of it's residents during Covid, it has given us great peace of mind that our mother is happy and safe!

I would like to express a warm and appreciative “Thank you” to all who are employed by The Roxborough. Whoever has assisted directly with my needs or anyone behind the scenes. I realize it’s a team effort. You all come together very efficiently with compassion and empathy towards, not only myself, but from what I have observed, to all of us.
It was very difficult for me to make the quick and drastic transition from living in my home independently to being in a retirement home setting. I would like to mention that you all have helped in making me feel welcomed. With your warm smiles, kind tone and mild mannered way you have given me direction when I needed it. I realize it’s not an easy task, but all of you do it so well. Please don’t stop.
When my wife Leslie and I decided it was time to move to a retirement residence we visited several in the area. With regards to the accommodations they offered we found very little difference. However as soon as we entered the Roxborough we found a warm and welcoming atmosphere. We moved in a little over a year ago and that first impression has been confirmed over and over causing us to have no regrets about our decision to choose the Roxborough.

From the moment Jodi walked into The Roxborough in 2012, she felt in her heart that this is where she should be. Since that time, she has been an integral part of its development and success. Her commitment and dedication to residents, their families and staff members have contributed to the warmth and spirit that is felt throughout the home. When Jodi is not with her Roxborough family you will likely find her spending quality time with her husband, two boys and three dogs or running endless miles through the trails across Ontario.
