At this community, the care and atmosphere springs from deep values. They care for and about others. When you witness interactions between staff and residents, you see professionals making sure that other people are not only well, but happy. This also comes out in food service, the full schedule of daily activities, the maintenance of bright, clean interiors, and so much more.
It’s remarkable to us how many different aspects of this home can be called out for special commendation. Friendships form and foment among independent living seniors thanks to the quality of events and outings, where they have “just such a nice time together.” Memory care here is presided over by patient, diligent staff going above and beyond to ensure the wellbeing of those in their care. In interactions with family, staff members are consistently positive and informative. Many people moving here are amazed at the lifestyle change, where they’re freed from “everything from eavestrough cleaning to car payments,” giving them a fresh take on life.
I don’t think we could have picked a better spot for my 95 year old father to transition from his home where he lived independently. He participated in many activities at StayWell enjoying the company of his fellow residents and remained active until his final day at age 98. We could not have asked for more caring and supportive staff.—Heather Johnstone, family member
My mom lived at Staywell Manor for 6 years both in Assisted Living and Memory Care … I was always impressed how patient and caring the staff were ... All the staff provided exceptional support to our family during this difficult time.—Karen Chow, family member
Our mom had lived in the manor community for 3.5 years and during that time she was cared for by a devoted staff. All of our dealings with the Manor management were cordial and all facets of the operation were always carried out with mom’s best wishes in mind. Over the few years the family got to know the front of house staff, kitchen staff and the wonderful caring medical personnel that undertook all of mom’s needs.—Rod Green, family member
Our Mom lived there for 17 years!!! And she loved it there. She made friends and felt loved by the staff who took such good care of her. The staff knows what the aging process is all about. Compassion and understanding led the way to peace and contentment.—Liam Christie, family member
After being in a serious car accident, our mother stayed in a respite suite at Staywell Manor for nearly 5 months. She was immensely happy with the quality of care she received. All of our interactions with the staff were so pleasant - our family felt so relieved knowing she was in such good hands.—Ali Kaba, family member
Despite being recently widowed, [our mom] thrived at Staywell, and spent over three happy years in assisted care receiving incredible care and support from the LPNs and PAs. She had many complex health care needs, which were all managed extremely well - and this continued when she moved to memory care for the last six months. Several LPNs were extraordinarily compassionate in attending to both Mom's physical and emotional needs and went so far beyond what the "job" required that we were regularl—Scott Murray, family member

My mom has been a resident at Staywell Manor for over five years and we have always been happy with the quality of care. Since COVID, our appreciation has grown. Staywell has been fast and comprehensive [in] doing whatever it can to limit the virus from taking hold … From our perspective, we are relieved she’s in such a great residence. Mom also loves it, which is the best thing of all.—Gord Gillies, family member
