It seems to us that Revera follows a theme across the GTA, of finding an ideally quiet location for communities, in this case, on a quiet cul-de-sac, backing onto Taylor Creek. On the surface, it’s an established building, but as you venture inside, you'll discover a beautifully updated retirement home, increasingly impressive the deeper in you go. Decorated in tans, deep browns, and auburn, the interior is comfortable and inviting, leading the way to inviting, brightly lit suites.
As you walk through this building, the most striking feature, at least in our opinion, is one of the most impressively spacious theatres we’ve ever seen in a retirement home. The amenities here, including the pub, games room, hair salon and lounge areas are all dynamic hangouts, where people smile and chat amiably. This is the kind of place that changes people’s preconceptions about seniors’ homes.
The community offers a broad continuum of care including assisted living and dementia care. This makes it very convenient for couples with different care needs to remain together in one community, and for others, the varying care available is ideal for aging in place. Our favourite spot in Leaside is the patio out back, with a pleasing, calming overlook of Taylor Creek Ravine.
A dear friend who has since passed lived here for 3 years a loved it. It was a challenge to convince her to live in a senior home but once moved in she had a lot fun and made many friends.—Kathleen Meadows, family member
